Name three guests (dead or alive) that you would invite to a dinner party and why?

Vic Reeves; Bob Mortimer; my friend Ian. It would be the funniest dinner party that I could imagine.

How long have you been in the travel industry for?

I feel like I invented it, so a long time!

What are your pet hates?

Rude, self-absorbed ignorant people and traffic jams.

What TV series have you recently watched and what would you rate it out of 10?

The Chase, 10/10

If you had three wishes what would you wish for?

The ability to travel back in time, Newcastle United to win every trophy available to them at least once in my lifetime and for my body shape and internal organs be returned to how they were when I was 25.

What is your favourite meal?

Leek and potato soup to start, roast beef with all the usual accoutrements. Finishing off with a groaning cheese board.

What is your favourite place to travel to and why?

Couldn’t pin it down to a single place; all depends on the purpose of travelling there.  New York (for the buzz), Greek Islands (for the relaxation) and Northumberland (to meet and drink with friends and family).

If you weren't working in travel, what would you like to be doing?

Working for the forestry commission

If you won the lottery what would be the first thing you would do?

Depends on how much I won. I have lots of ideas but depends on the pay-out.

Do you have a party trick? If so what is it?

The incredible shoe materialisation and disappearance optical illusion trick.

If you were stuck on a desert island name the one item you would take with you?

A fully fuelled and crewed super yacht.
